  1. Do you mean sd card for your camera

  2. Insert the memory card into a memory card holder or reader.

When it says the same format it, there is something called data recovery software.

After formatting you can retrieve the files using such softwares these are examples

    or

    www.recuva.com

Note: you should do recovering on the machine you delete the file so that the software will find the image of the file to be recovered.

    No fears.

  3. You can't. Formatting will wipe it clean. You will have to transfer the data onto a PC first.

  4. Old versions of windows used to do this.

    Perhaps this will help:

  5. I think what you have done is pulled out the card without removing it properly from the computer.. so it's kinda messed up.

Anyway, transfer all the data on the card to a random folder on your computer (assuming you can take data off the card?), then format it by going to My Computer, right clicking the drive and selecting 'Format'. Then once it's all clean and nice, put all the old data from the folder on your computer back onto the card by dragging and dropping.

This next step is risky.. if you can't transfer data off the stick, delete all the files, then format the card by using the above method, then recover all your files back by downloading PC Inspector Smart Recovery.

Again, use it at your own risk. :/

To use the program, with the memory card inserted, connect your digital camera to your computer. Under “My Computer”, note the drive letter assigned to your camera’s memory card (usually E: or F:).

Start PC Inspector Smart Recover and when it loads, set up your data recovery by:

Selecting the drive letter to recover files from.

Selecting a folder on your computer where the recovered files are to be saved.

Now, click the “Start” button and let PC Inspector Smarty Recovery work its magic.

Browse to the folder that you selected for your recovered files and check out the results of the recovery.

You do risk losing your data though.. but there are LOADS of different programs like "Undelete Plus" http://www.download.com/Undelete-Plus/30... or even use a quick google search for find more.

    Good luck?
