How can I gain more strength for cheer stunts?

Although sometimes I'm a backspot i'm usualy put as a base. My wrists are extremely small for who knows why, to where if i wrap my middle finger and thumb around, they overlap.

It's caused me some trouble, especially in full extension.i have plenty of upper arm strength though..

Are there any excercises that can help give me wrist strength?

  1. weightlifters take a bare bar, and do curls with the wrists only...........

    your wrists gonna hurt like the dickens the first week or so, but they will gain size and strength in about 5- 6 weeks....

    do like 5- 10 sets of 10 then up them by 2 till you do 10 sets of 20, 3 times a day.

    you can use dumbells instead of a 25lb bar..


  2. Use a wrist strengthening ball.  Kind of like the one in this ebay listing.

    You can also use those grip deals that you squeeze together that have a silver metal circle in between them.  Good luck.
