How can I gain weight as a vegetarian?

I've been a vegetarian for about a year, I'm 13, and I've been thin my whole life. My sources of protein are fake meats, potatoes and broccoli, and dairy. I want to gain a little weight "upstairs", even if it means my waist will thicken. Can someone help me out?

  1. Things like avocados and nuts have lots of healthy fats. Use those. Also olive oil is a really healthy, high calorie food.

  2. i hate to break it to you but you can't decide where your weight goes... i WISH lol  if your willing to gain weight allover (and be aware, it still might not go where you want it to!) than dairy and peanut butter and nuts are all good places to start for somewhat healthy but fatty foods.... just eat more food in general though and you'll start to gain weight.

  3. take in high calorie foods, like olive oil, bread, nuts and seeds that also have healthy fat.
