How can I garantee a product to arrive when buying it from someone online?

Question

I did some reaseach and people are saying that buying through paypal would make it safe. but how can i make sure that the person selling me the product is not going to scam me!

P.S im not using a website to buy from this guy

i think the best way would be to have him send you the item and then pay him.

you might also put the money in an escrow account if it's something pricey.

you can't gaurantee it. thats why I shop at www.energyscales.com because its done with amazon.com  and i get my orders fast. its very safe. and friendly.

If they are a .com, go to the Better Business Bureau website and check them out. I have found lots that seem reputable that are total scams! Paypal is only a mediator, they will remove known scams but not new ones.
