Well I have a great computer which is fit to host many gaming servers, but I do not have the internet for it. I was wondering where exactly a 100mbps internet is available, how it works and how much it costs. I would appreciate links, and details. Thank you in advance.

  1. Depends where you live and which ISP you're talking about.

  2. just a suggestion !!!

~~> but it may help if u have ur ethernet cable on a slope down to ur net adapter from ur pc !!!!

    HEH...brains of the U.S.A i am looooool

cheers in a pass tense format lol

    :)

  3. You don't need all that, and I assume it is D/L speed. I spend a bit more per month for a business connections and have never had an issue hosting any on-line game for any amount of players. I have friends who only play with me because I host rooms and they know they won't bet kicked.

Call your ISP and ask about a higher bandwidth package. I had to provide mine with a tax ID # to validate it was for a business but you can get those for free at your Town Hall.

Look into Verizon FiOS, it gets no better than a fiber cable running to your doorstep.

  4. It costs ALOT, thats about the speed a school or hospital gets to run the whole building. It usually has to be a fibre optic line, which they would run specially for you (called a backbone line). Most companies wont run it to individuals, only to large establishments, and I've actually never seen it offered. You would likely have to contact the company directly. It would likely cost a couple thousand to install and upwards of a hundred or more a month.. Can't help you out with companies as i don't know where you live, but the highest I've heard around here is like 15mbps... Try calling a large dealer (like bell or something), and see what they can offer you because I doubt it will be advertised
