Question:

How can I get Apple to replace my iPhone?

I currently own the first generation iPhone with only 4 Gigabytes. The screen is a little bit cracked on one corner. I have the 2 year warranty frrom Apple and was wondering if there's a way I can say there's something wrong with my iPhone so they can give me a new one or at least a refurbished one. I want to buy the new 16G 3G iPhone but for that I need to sell the old one I own (I'll sell it for more money if it's in better conditions). So, does anybody know what's convincing enough to get Apple to see that my iPhone needs to be replaced, even if I have to lie about it? Thanx in advance for your help

  1. As long as you have the two year warranty, contact the cingular store and report it not working, they should send you a replacement one. BUT, keep in mind that when reporting a problem, make sure it is a hardware problem such as bad reception, won't charge, etc and NOT a cosmetic one such as a cracked screen. If you report it with a cosmetic error it will be your fault and they won't replace it, but as long as you tell them you get no reception or something they should replace it. Good luck. Stick it to the man.

  2. Tell the truth, if you have a warranty on it they should fix it.  Then you can sell it, or sell it as is.
