How can I get TEFL qualified?...which is the best course to do?

I want to get TEFL qualified as i travel quite alot and feel it would be useful to have as it may permit me to work in a few countries

Can anyone give me advice on the best TEFL course to do (or is there only one type?) that will give me the best opportunity of getting a job teaching English abroad.

I am English and currently living in Manchester.

Is this for real? and would it give me the same opportunity of getting a job than say a person who has actually done a proper course, rather than one over the internet?

My mate went to this one,

He says it was OK, he wants to go to Milawi of all places.
