Question:

How can I get WFNNB to stop bothering me. They have been harassing me since May when I payed off my account.?

They claim that I owe them 100 dollars, yet can't provide how the charge got on my account after I paid it off in full back in May. They call me at work, call me at home, I keep my cell off because they call it constantly around the clock. To top it off, the account was supposed to be closed when I payed it off, yet they didn't close it. Someone please give me some advice on how to get these people out of my life.

And just to add, I will never do business with this company or any of the companies they provide credit cards for. What a way to tarnish good businesses with a crappy credit provider.

  1. Ask them to send you a bill.  Legally, you're entitled to this.

When you close an account, send them a letter in the mail (keep a copy for your records) telling them you want the account closed, and verification and a letter showing the account has been closed.  This is your backup when this stuff happens.

If you suspect fraud, contact the BBB, and the Federal Trade Commission.

  2. I agree with you 100% about the tactics of WFNNB and other "Big Bad Boy" credit bullies.

Is it worth $100 to you to continue being harassed and threatened with ruined credit?

The technicality of "the rules" is... they (by law) are required to stop calling you if you tell them under no uncertain terms that you want them to STOP calling you... at home... at work... on your cell... etc.  Then... you write a letter to them stating the same.  You should document each and every time they call you... state in your documentation the date, time, and tone of your conversation, and summary of what you and they say.  If you decide to file harassment charges against them (contact your state's Attorney General office for details) then this is basically your only way to substantiate your claim.

It's a sad matter of fact that our government supports the antics of these miserable fire breathing dragons.  I don't have an answer of how to force them to change their ways... other than encourage you and others to "know your rights" and utilize them!

    Good luck to you...
