I do not have a degree so I do not qualify for the short list of work visas. What I need is a Visa that will allow me to stay in the country and work.

  1. If you do not qualify for any of the work visas then your only option is the fiance/marriage option, if not you can visit for a period of no more than 6 months - without a visa - providing you can prove that you can support yourself for the duration of your stay.

The latter option does not allow you to work - but beyond those two choices there are no more.

    Edit:

MomMom - U.S. citizens are not eligible for the working-holiday makers visa.

  2. talk to your embassy

    and not y!a

  3. i think you can apply for a long term holiday visa.  then they review you later.

  4. i'm assuming if you cannot obtain a work visa, you and your boyfriend need to get married and provide a valid marriage license to the consulate for a visa on the grounds of marriage.

that's the only other way i can think of.

  5. umm.. i donno y u askin me?

  6. If you are under 25 you can apply for a working holidaymakers visa, or try to go to a school here in the UK.

Else I'm afraid you've got to get married!
