How can I get a black mark from a penny off my membership card?

I had a gym menmbership card in my pocket with a penny. The penny left a black ring on my card. I was wondering how I could get it off?

If its a plastic laminated you can use thinners or alcohols or spirits or petrol etc...

If the card is laminated with plastic a little soap and water will do it. If its paper or cardboard its permanently stained.
