  1. Lie on the credit card application.  Of course, that will expose you to prosecution for credit card fraud. If you are a student and not working, how do you expect to pay the credit card company?  Having a credit card doesn't mean you don't need money, you still have to pay for your purchases, the card simply lets you walk around without cash in your pocket.

  2. If you don't have a job and are not a resident then getting a credit card is not likely to happen!

The only thing i can think of that you could do is apply for a secured card, one where you put a certain amount into an account the bank holds as security for the loan and get a credit card offering your deposit as security.

If you do that then you should know that you lose control of this money and it will still be hard to get a credit card without some sort of employment!

  3. You will not be given credit based on your status in Canada.  Why do you think that a company will give you credit when they can't hold you to their agreement to repay it?
