How can I get a cruise free?

To cruise alone I have to pay double. How can I get a free cruise or at least pay a more reasonable single supplement?

I've met a couple of fellow pax on cruise ships who were successful in getting the single supplement waived. It helps to have a really good travel agent and to be willing to travel on short notice at non-peak times.

Singles always have to pay almost double to go on a cruise. The only way I know that is legit to win a cruise is to enter a contest like Princess cruises have a photography contest for a free cruise and a most romantic contest going too. Another way to get a cheaper cruise for a single person is to share a cabin with somebody. That's about it.
