  1. Yoga ...... takes a bit of time to build up the flexibility but not as long as you might think.  Some people are naturally more flexible than others anyway, so only work at your own pace and under instruction.  But have you seen any pictures of men and women who've been doing it for years ... flexibility is an understatement.   Get some books out of the library or look some images up online.  Yoga also builds up core body strength and increases your health and vitality.

  2. Its the same as teaching yourself to do the splits. You just keep stretching it, over and over. try doing that to your back. Each time youll get closer. Thats how I did it, also u need to hold it, even if it hurts. the pain is wht is stretching the muscles.

  3. Lie down of the ground.  The use you hands to get into an arched position (try to keep everything under the pelvis on the ground) Now take one hand of the floor and put it above your head.  Do that for a couple days then try taking both hands off the ground.  If you continue doing this your back will gain flexibility and muscle.

  4. I don't know but I've been able to bend backwards into the crab and I can touch my head with my feet from behind all my life but Lord knows I can't do handsprings or flips... not that I'm about to try either, I like having all my bones in place.

I think the best thing is stretching and exercises like yoga. Sorry I'm not much help.

  5. i used to do gymnastics so i suggest you do some stretches and try leaning your back again a wall and try walking you hands down the wall until you reach the ground in the "crab" position.

  6. im a dancer and i just do reverse crunches and you build muscle on your back (kinda like 'back abs')

lay on the floor with your feet flat against the wall and arch your backtowards the wall as if someone has a cablecord attached to ur head and is pulling you back

after doing a rep of these try doing back extentions and then leg extentions...lean back away from the barre and arch and extend your back...do it a few times and it should help!

  7. By exercising it regularly. Try some of these pages.
