How can I get a hospital admissions representative position with no former health experience?

I want a job as a hospital admissions representative but I have no former experience.

I am a senior in college and will be graduating in May. My major is speech pathology and I plan on working in a hospital after med school next fall.

I'm very smart and dependable. How can I get my foot in the door working in a hospital if every position requires previous experience?

You have two options:

1)  Do unpaid work in the medical field: you could do an internship, or you could even just walk in and say you want to volunteer.  

2)  Think about your prior experience in other fields-- maybe they're indirectly related to the job you want?  Prior admissions experience, experience in something medical-like such as social work might work.
