  1. Leave the garage door open until he leaves.  Maybe hang something red outside the garage to lure him out...he may think it is a colorful flower  and fly to it..then you can close the door while he is investigating the red blanket/towel, etc.

  2. Chase it around a little bit, kinda like trying to get a fly out of your car through the window.... They are dumb and need to be helped... or just leave the garage door open for a long time maybe eventually he will fly out...

  3. This happened to me before.

    Stinks, doesn't it?

    Leave the garage door open.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to trap him in a butterfly net and then let him out outside.

BE CAREFULL. THEY ARE LIVING, BREATHING CREATURES AND ARE FRAGILE. DO NOT BANG NOISES TO TRY AND GET IT OUT. THIS WILL ONLY FRIGHTEN IT.

Sorry for the caps, but it's neccassary. Again, be carefull. Leave the door and any windows open.

    And hope for the best.

  4. Open the garage door, all the way.

Put a full hummingbird feeder outside the garage, where the hummer can easily see it.  Without food they soon die and it will likely head toward what it knows as food.

This is a common problem if you have any bright colors in your garage.

  5. you could put some nectar out for him and leave the garage door open, other then that you could just run around shooing him with a broom or something until he gets out.
