How can I get a job-please

Im 16 yrs old and probably dont have the confindence for talking to people but I dont want to look like a fool. Say if I were to go to Baskin Robins, what do I do? My mom says Im supposed to talk to the manger and ask for an application. Is that what Im supposed to do in a store like that? Please help me this is my first time looking, and I really need it to help pay for rent.

I am 16 and I started my first job a few months ago. I felt exactly the same as you but it is not that big of a deal. Just walk in and tell the person at the counter that you need to talk to some one about a job and they will do the rest for you. It doesn’t take anything to ask for an application. Good luck and don’t be scared. (PS so what if you look like a fool those people don't mean anything to you anyway)

just go in and ask the counter person if they are hiring. if they are they will let you know what to do from there. they will either get you an application to fill out or let the manager know someone is interested in working. they deal with this stuff all the time so dont feel like a fool.  just make sure you are polite and look the person in the eye when you are talking. you will be fine
