How can I get a legal ID in the UK?

I am turning 15 soon and would like to get a ID card for cinemas and HMV etc etc. I look younger than 15 so its important - where can I apply for a real ID card?

  1. Oyster card. Easy, or a passport, but I'm assuming you already have one.


  2. I dont think you can get id cards for under 16s. Haven't u got a passport?

  3. I had the same problem! Luckily we got issued a card from school that worked as proof of age.

    You could apply for a citizen card at http://www.citizencard.com/

    See that little 'pass' symbol on the bottom? It's a government approved symbol, so when you do turn 18 you won't have to worry about taking out your drivers license or passport (which are very expensive to replace if you lose them!) but have valid id.
