  1. learn how to read the wave knowing exactly what the wave is going to do so you can either pump, carve or snap into a pocket is crucial for long rides

  2. Dont ride straight into the wave. as your stand up turn your board parralell to the wave. if you ride a longboard u can do noserides along with many other tricks as well as if u ride a shortboard

  3. instead of riding your board straight into the beach, turn and ride with the eave so you are going parallel to the wave and beach.

  4. Do surf straight forward, turn your board towards the way the wave is closing.

  5. sit deeper and wait for the bombs watch to see were they brake farthest from the shore. learn to make your sections better by pumping if need be. have fun

  6. don't fall !!

stay just in front of the lip and foam.  don't go straight, go parallel to the wave.

  7. if you want to spend some money you could buy a Malibu. They are alot longer and will stay on the wave longer. You can also try and bounce the board up and down a little to get some more momentum.

  8. Ride face verses straight towards the beach, this is tricky but it will come with practice.
