If you are on welfare you shouldn't be allowed to have more kids.

How can I get a law passed to make it so that before the welfare bennies come rolling in, a woman has to have Norplant inserted in her arm?

No Norplant... No bennies.

  1. lots of ways to get laws passed.  Most simply, call your state or federal representative.  Your plan will probably not be well received because many people who vote recieve some sort of government benefit.  For example, taxpayers who claim the deduction for mortgage interest live in subsidized housing.  Students with federally guaranteed loans also qualify.  Veterans benefits.  Anyone who camps in a park that recieves government money.  Anyone who uses a public library.  People receiving disability benefits. Low-ranking soldiers who qualify for food stamps.  Unless you can define "welfare" in some meaningfull way, don't expect a receptive audience.

  2. Thats not a bad idea.  You don't have to forcefully sterilize people, but if they want the free money, they should be willing to sacrifice this.  A lot of people seem to be upset with this idea, but I bet none of them have been to DSS, or they go there all of the time and want to keep their free money.  I work in a mental health setting in which I frequently have to take clients to DSS.  Although I understand that it is a good program to help people out who are genuinely in need (The disabled), most of the people I see in there are abusing the system.  I believe in no new children for those receiving welfare or any other type of public assistance.  You could offer them birth control or tell them that if they continue to procreate when they don't have the financial means to support their children, that they well lose their benefits.  I also suggest mandatory drug testing for those who receive public assistance.  I don't want my tax money paying for drugs.  They should also add a clause which states that if your children don't go to school, you aren't getting a cent.  I live in a big city and in some of the schools, the graduation rate is 12%.  Which means 88% of the population are spawning children who are also eventually going to be a burden on the system.  I go into DSS and I see men who are in their twenties and thirties who are waiting in line to apply for assistance and I always wonder why they can't work.  You aren't sick.  You aren't disabled.  Why the h**l can't you work like the rest of us.  Sorry I'm ranting, but I have had a job since I was fifteen.  My parents made me go to school and made me go to college.  There wasn't any other option.  They educated me on birth control.  They had a good work ethic as well and passed it on to me.  If other parents aren't willing to do the same, we should not be supporting them.

  3. Get over yourself.

  4. Well, I am 50 years old and I only had one son, but ethically, I have to state that I disagree with you about this new law idea. It reminds me of China where they have a law limiting the number of children you can have. Many Catholics and other religions would disagree too. In Louisiana, if you are healthy and able to work, you cannot get a welfare check. The welfare laws differ from state to state. I think that ethically, the law should not restrict reproduction.

  5. That law would never be passed nor be considered.

For one you cannot tell any woman what to do with their own bodies.

For 2, who says they are having s*x at the moment

For 3, it is against many people's religious beliefs so therefore violates the constitution

For 4, birth control can cause health issues and in some cases death.

And lastly, no birth control is 100% effective.  So you are willing to violate all these women and their humanely rights with the possibility that they may still get pregnant.  Would you want to have a forced vasectomy or have your testosterone lowered to prevent you impregnating a woman?  Of course not!

  6. Ahhhh! No name. You seem to take an inordinate interest in how other people conduct their affairs. I'm move to remind you that  tis best to cast the beam from thy own eye before looking for it in others.

Again: Any law idea must be submitted to your representative.

  7. Write your legislator, better yet talk to him.

Start a petition, I`ll sign it.

But you know you`ll be up against the pro choice people and planned parenthood. Abortion is a multi billion dollar industry and they want those people getting pregnant.

  8. I would support that but it would never pass.

  9. I SO agree with WRen-  why not make men who produce "welfare babies" get a vastectomy?  Statistically speaking, a man is able to produce many, many more children in his lifetime than a woman.  I mean, think about it-- a woman is pregnant for nine months and cannot produce another child during that time.  During those nine months, however, the guy why got her pregnant could get numerous other women pregnant.  Target the man who produced a baby on welfare, give him a vastectomy, and there you go-- he can sleep with as many women who are willing, but he can't produce any babies with them.

You made a child, you aren't taking care of that child-- forcing mom to get welfare for the child.  Obviously, you shouldn't be making any more babies.

  10. What are you a communist? A another ELITIST? You sound just like those that want to take over the "World". Are you Hitlers relative???

Do you not UNDERSTAND the LAWS OF THE LAND and the RiGHTS Of individuals!

Maybe ONE Day, you will have kids, and your Man will leave your *** just because and become a Dead beat dad!

You do realize that many have PAID taxes into THIS system and when they do end up in these situations they HAVE THE RIGHT to tap into that resource that they PAID for?

    Wild. Very Un-American.

Go to AFRICA and join all the sterlized people there that were done without THEIR Consent. Or maybe focus more on TEEN pregnancy as its on the RISE thanks to LACK Of support for sexuality within schools and provisions for Birth Control / Condoms etc-

That is just wild you obviously  have a very limited amount of intelligence. Go ahead and try to write it up. It will go NOWHERE.

The Govt has already taken action such as PLANNED PARENTHOOD and educational Programs and working programs for woman and men who end up in these temporary Unfortunate situations.

Maybe you Own a home. Now that the economy totally sucks, Perhaps you will LOOSE That home, your job etc... Then where will you be?

We Created these SOCIAL Programs to help keep the economy afloat and then some. Ignorance is bliss, go learn some real laws.

  11. write your state legislator and make the suggestion to him, I really don't think that it will get far seeing as we have a constitution and all, sterilization is kinda frowned upon in this country especially after Hitler did it in n**i Germany.

  12. Where's the petition?  I'll sign it.

  13. It's not being on welfare that makes you have kids, dope. It's not having the right protection. Just because they don't have money doesn't mean they have to have mandatory birth control/sterilization.

And what about men on welfare? According to your argument, welfare kids are only the woman's fault.

  14. It will never pass but I agree with your stance.  I am all for giving second chances and I realize that mistakes happen but I too am annoyed at the women that keep popping out kids just so they can get a larger check each month.

And not to lay all the blame on women here, any man that has fathered these kids needs to be sterilized. I saw a man in convenience store the other day that was telling someone he has 11 kids with 8 different women and was proud of it.

Educating these people is the best thing to do. either that or just smack them over head with a 2x4 and put them out of their (*and my) mysemisery
