you need to check what documentation you need, should be able to google it and find out.

then go up to the passport office and wait!!

Assuming you're talking about a UK passport, and that it's a renewal, not your first passport, then you can make an appointment at the passport office handling your application (phone [phone]) and take all the paperwork to the office. It costs £114 instead of the usual £72.

If it's your first adult passport, then you're stuffed - they won't do expedited issues as they do extra enquiries into your identity the first time you get a passport.
