How can I get a pen-pal that is from France?

I wanted to learn French and was told that this would be a good way to learn. But how can I find a place that will pair up pen pals without having to worry about giving out my address to the wrong person? Thanks!

There are serveral web sites helping to put potential pen-pal in contact.

I personnaly like the site about.com, It is a serious and well documented site.

You can google "french penpals" or "international penpals" and you'll come across several websites, several of which are listed under French.About.com's penpal section (http://french.about.com/od/penpals/Frenc... About.com is a reputable website and their suggestions tend to be more trustworthy.

I've used mylanguageexchange.com, which lets you communicate with people via the website, until you decide to give the person your email address. To register and be "contactable"via the website is free, but to contact people yourself, there is a small fee. It's only $12 for 3 (or 6, can't remember) months, but it deters the unsavoury types. I've met several nice people on this website and we still keep in touch. Good luck!

difficult to be sure on who you will met on a site such a yahoo QR. I have ever offer my services in another ou your questions....but you don't know anything about me.....that is dangerous ;-)
