My son is a year old, so telling him to sit still and this is for the better does not work. Need safe, semi-painless way to get rid of splinter. Tried using tweasers couldn't reach it. Also, tried to get through a layer of skin to get it more accesible, still too deep.

  1. I JUST HAD A SPLINTER LIKE 5 MINUTES AGO MY MOMS CO-WORKER TOOOK A SAFTEY PIN AND OPEN MY SKIN IT DIDN'T HURT.THEN WIPED IT WITH A WIPE AND PUT A BAND-AID ON IT

  2. if some if the tip is sticking out, put tape over the end and pull out the way it went in.

or just put a band-aid over it and leave it there. it'll come out eventually. or just dissolve.

    hope i helped.

  3. try popping it like an ant bite

  4. get a bit of ice,and ask him to hold it on the area where the splinter is, make a game of it, get a sterilized needle and gently probe away at it, get the child to keep numbing it, once you see the splinter use the tweezers. keep joking about, i used to ask my kids did i want to cut off their hands, they would laugh

  5. You have to go in the same way the splinter went in .  Keep digging in following the path of the splinter and eventually you will snag the end of it.  Then it is a relatively simple matter to pry it up far enough to pull it out back along the same way it went in.

  6. Have him soak in in warm soapy water or put him in the tub and keep it submerged for awhile. It will soften the skin and hopefully will come out easier with a little squeeze. You may have to let it fester and then squeeze it out with the pus. Keep soaking it.

  7. try soaking his hand in water, to soften the skin, you can buy at chemists, special tweezers designed just for splinters, they have a magnifying glass that you look thru to dig it out. I would try to get it out before it gets infected. Good luck

  8. I've heard that if you tape a 1 inch piece of banana peel mushy side down over it overnight it will pull itself to the surface or get stuck in the banana peel.  It may take a little longer depending on the size, so you need to change the peel every night if it does.  It normally just takes one, though.

  9. Do you own a monkey?  If you own a monkey, have the monkey do it. Monkeys are accustomed to removing splinters in the wild; it's a common injury associated with swinging from branches.  Monkeys are also extremely strong in comparison to humans and will easily overpower your one year old.

  10. Soak it in Salt water or put a bandade and wait it out.Splinters will eventually come out but might take weeks. Also u have the piercing the skin to make a big enough hole so using ur twesers
