How can I get a truck to run on CNG?

my dad has a '73 Ford F-250 Custom and a '70 Checy C10.

the Ford has a 351 Engine and the Chevy has a 350.

He is considering giving me one of them and they waste so much gas. i really want them, but gas is gonna kill me. and i heard CNG is cleaner and cheaper to run. I know this can be done because City cars and police cars run on it.

where would i go about converting them to run on CNG or at least e85?

  1. Check out ecofuelsystems.com

  2. first if you think running gasoline is expensive, wait until you start running E85, and having your fuel economy drop to about 1/2 what the trucks are getting now.

as for CNG, you need the tanks for the CNG, and a propane carburettor. the basic system is fairly simple to install.
