I'm on summer vacation, and school starts in two weeks, so I need to get back to a normal schedule. I go to sleep around 4am and wake up around 11am. I am only getting 7 hrs of sleep, and I need more. How can I get back to a normal sleep schedule. Please and thank you! ♥

  1. try to go to bed early tonite, regaurdless of when you fall asleep, wake up at 7 or whenever you normally have to get up for school, or amybe a little earlier. have an active, busy day without any naps and yo will be able to go to bed early that night. get up the next day early-- same time as the day before. after you do it for a few days you should be back on track. good luck.

  2. Set up a schedule for yourself, a schedule that you will really follow. That way, you can have enough sleep. For example, sleep at 9pm then wake up at 5:30 or 6 am. That almost 9 hours! Good Luck :)

  3. well what i used to do and i wont tell you why it used to happen but i used to stay up for days and when i was tired finally i wouldnt fall asleep till around 10 so that i wouldnt wake up rly early in the morning like 2 so that it just happens all over again then it should stick like that

  4. I know it might sound drastic, but I have the same issue.

And what I do is, one night, I just don't go to sleep @ all, so when it turns into night the next night, i'm exhausted by 9 or 10,  so it puts me back on a normal schedule pretty much.

It's kinda hard though to stay up past 24 hours. :/

It works for me, it might not work for you.

Or if you want, you could start going to bed an hour earlier each night.

Thats also seems to work. (:

  5. Start going to bed at the time which enables you to get at least 8 hrs. of sleep when you get up. Try playing soft music, or use a fan or sound machine(has rain or water sound etc), try a nice warm bubble bath before bed, a cup of milk. Think of pleasant thoughts then let your mind go blank after awhile. There are tapes that help you sleep, I found some in book store.

  6. 1.  Exercise until you can't or you're too tired.  I suggest you do this couple of hours before the time you wish to sleep.  After you come home just shower and sleep.

    2.  Ask someone to wake you up at like 6 A.M. and stay up until the time you wish to sleep.  You slept for only 2 hours, but when your reach the time you want to sleep at and sleep, you would fall asleep right away.

Taking pills to help you sleep could be a possibility, but I would not recommend it.  Try to avoid this if possible.
