  1. Pratice, Practice, Practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. just keep practicing. look up tabs online and learn to play songs and just play them over and over and your hands will get used to it

  3. Well, I know I won't get best answer for this but...

Practice does NOT make perfect.  My grandmother has been driving for 40+ years, but that doesn't make her good at it.

    Practice Makes PERMANENT.

You will only reinforce bad playing by practicing with bad habits.  I'm not sure why everyone is so against lessons, they are the best thing I ever did for my playing.  Professional guitarists take lessons!  So everyone gets on a forum like this asking for help because what they're doing doesn't work, but still, they won't take lessons? It boggles my mind.

Honestly, and I say this with all sincerity, if you were practicing correctly, gaining speed really wouldn't be an issue.  It is better to play well slowly, than poorly fast.

Even a community college course will give you interaction with an instructor.

    Good luck to you.

  4. play along with songs.

also practice makes perfect, you can't get it at first and I remember when I was like you.

but now i am the prowd owner of 7 guitars and my favorite is my dean from h**l.

    awesome guitar check it out.

  5. practice...practice makes perfect

  6. practice

  7. Practice with a metronome.

Start out with the metronome at a slow enough tempo that you can play the chords with good timing.  Practice it at that speed till you can do it perfectly, then bump up the metronome speed a few clicks and practice it some more until you have the timing down perfect at that speed. bump it up again a few more clicks, practice until you have the timing perfect at that tempo....etc etc until you have it fully up to tempo.  Then you can play along with the recording and be perfect!
