How can I get black mildew off of the brick at my home? I have small dog so I'd like to be relatively safe!

I have access to a pressure washer, but would like other suggestions.

You have to scrub the bricks of the mildew. I would higher someone to do it so i wouldnt have to worry about spreading the mildew!

I was going to suggest a pressure washer with bleach. I'm not sure why you think it's not safe using with a small dog.  As long as you keep your dog inside and don't let him outside until the house and ground are dry everything should be ok.  I pressure wash my house and I have 3 small dogs. If the dog is an outside dog and you don't want him around, kennel him for the day or see if a neighbor will keep him in their backyard for a few hours.
