I spilt paint on my white carpet when I was painting the bedframe. Unfortuantely, I need to fix this problem soon (preferably without my parentals ever finding out) I got quite a bit out of it out when it was wet, but i still haave a gray smudge all across my carpet. Is there any way for me to get my carpet decent again? Since its white, is it possible to bleach it safely?? I need a miracle people! Thanks so much =P

  1. keep it wet

    do not let it dry

    and get a carpet cleaner

  2. also try the "Method" brand wipes.. I've gotten all kinds of stains out of my carpets with them..  They sell them mostly anywhere.. try Target or drugstores or go to methodhome.com then click where it says "where to buy"

If you do choose to get this. make sure you tes somewhere that's not obvious to check for color-fasted-ness

    Hope it works..

  3. Paint thinner.

  4. depends on type of paint. If its dry oilbase forget about. If its dried latex or waterbased you might be able to get it out with standard cleaners. If is small splatters of paint take a finger nail clipper and clip the top of the carpet fibers off right under the paint. this of course only works with minor splatter or drip spots.

  5. They have a product called Afta. Use a rag & always work your way in so you don't make the stain bigger.

With white carpet I would call a carpet repair person & if you have any excess carpet or they could take a peice from the closet & seem in a new peice.

    Usually costs $50-$75
