  1. do more intense cardio. my coach made me run around a baseball field 3 times, then 30sit ups, 30push ups, then 10 hills, without resting, then repeat.

  2. You have to build up to it, and it never gets easy.

I don't know what your day of MMA conditioning was, but sounds like you overdid it just a little.  Watch what you eat before you do your conditioning too.  Having food on your stomach, or caffiene (stupid energy drinks) will mess you up and make you more likely to puke.  Stick with water or water/gatorade half and half.

Anyway, conditioning should follow a program - you don't want to over-do it or you'll end up going backwards from lack of recovery.  So start off with 10-15 mins of warmup to get a little sweat going - nothing too strenuous.  Then move into your training - weights, complexes, cardio intervals, heavy bag work, etc.  If you feel sick, dial it back a notch.  Puking won't help.

A key is charting what you are doing - you should make increases every week in either intensity or duration.  So if you can do 5 rounds at 80% max effort this week, try a little harder next week and do 6 rounds.   Then go back to 4 rounds at 90%.  The idea is to mix up duration and intensity so you can progress.

Write out each aspect of your regimen along with the rest periods - keep a pencil handy and make notes as you rest.  For example: 25 pushups in 40 seconds, 1 minute rest.  4 x 3 minute rounds boxing only on heavy bag 80% intensity - one minute rest between rounds.

The more you chart what you do the better off you'll be, and you WILL see progress quickly.  Make sure to rest too - take a day or 2 off every week so you can recover.  Your muscles will need it even if they feel fresh.

  3. tuff it out and keep doin the mma conditioning and start running more, swimming is really good cardio also. its ok if you puke that just means your pushing yourself hard. sooner or later you will stop pukeing and you will be in good shape. its not gonna be easy its  a tuff sport

  4. i'm conditionin for mma also, but i've been running about 3 and a half miles 4 times a week, & i'd work out almost every day, atleast for 45- to an hour.. but i konw i need to increase my work out time.. also i'll hit the heavy bag for a while, & spar with people. grappling mostly. but striking also.
