go to wal-mart and get some goo b gone, its in the arts and crafts section

Goo Gone... but do a test spot first (in the corner, or somewhere not noticeable) to make sure it won't discolor your carpet.

mineral spirits  won't harm your carpet

Goo gone, Or try fingernail polish Remover diluted.

Try hot water and soap. Like scalding hot water and pat it with a white cloth.....Then try combing it off the carpet with a wire  brush (like the ones they use for lint)...

Try to use lemon juice and then wait a few hours and brush it off with water.
