  1. I always suggest working out in the pool.  Get about chest deep in the pool and take your approach with jump.  Land and do another approach until you get to the other side of the pool.  Turn around and repeat.  The water acts as resistance and a cushion for your landing.  (The swimming pool acts like pliometric bands.)  Do about 10 approaches and take a 1 minute break.

Try running back and forth across the pool as fast as you can.    If you are really sprinting, go across the pool and then back and take 1 minute off.  If you are jogging, make it two laps.

Practice your jumps.  Crouch down and jump.  Do 10 and then take 1 minute off.

The other idea is to work out in the gym just like you would during the match.

Do your approach and land.  Get back as fast as you can to your starting point and approach.  Do 10 and take 1 minute off.

Jump in the middle.  Land and move out to the right side and block.  Move to the middle and block.  Move to the left side and block and then back to the middle and block.  do not do the half hearted jump that people do just to get done with this drill.  Jump like you are really blocking or you are wasting your time.  Work your correct footwork.  Do not just run outside.  After completing one set like this, take 1 minute off.  Repeat.
