depends entirely on the type of phone you have. I have a phone which connects directly to a PC as a USB device, I can download what ever tunes I wish, and allocate them as ringtones to what ever phone events or inciming callers I wish FoC

So check you phones manual see if it has the ability to connect to a PC, and if so can it accept tunes from a PC (it may need to do some conversion of the incoming file)

easy if your phone supports midi - search the internet for midi-files of your fav songs, then check the url (right click on the link to the midi file and select properties, or Copy Shortcut and then past it in notepad or something) and download it through WAP on your phone or download it to your PC and transfer it from there to your phone. You could use the record facility on your phone

if your phone and pc has bluetooth.....download form limewire. thats what i do. TOTALLY FREE !!

Make them yourself.   Most Sprint phone can be sent to your phone via internet after creating it.  Others you might need a data cable.

Get a card reader and hook up to Limwire or something similar.

If your phone has bluetooth and your friends have bluetooth get them to send  you their ringtones totally free, also you can send yours to them free also. you have to be near each other to do this i think the range is about 10 metres.
