  1. Ignore the journey planner. Exit Marylebone station via the main exit and turn left. Continue along Dorset Square, which then becomes Melcombe Street. This leads you onto Baker Street where you will see Baker Street station (believe me, this way is actually quicker than taking the Bakerloo Line one stop and changing trains at Baker Street; it is about a five minute walk, maximum. As long as you turn left out of Marylebone station and do not deviate it is impossible to get lost. If anything, it is easier to get lost inside Baker St. station whilst changing trains.).

From Baker St, station, go to platform 5 (ask a member of staff for directions) and take any train three stops to Kings Cross-St. Pancras..

The two stations (Marylebone and Kings Cross) are practically situated on the same stretch of road so it is quite difficult to get lost! Marylebone is set back a short way but the main road is obvious, one block down.

If you're feeling really adventurous or have time to kill, you could probably walk the whole distance in around twenty minutes, or maybe even seventeen if you're really brisk!

  2. 205 bus goes from outside Marylebone station to King's Cross. This shouldn't take more than 30 minutes (until Boris messes up the traffic and there are signs that he's going to). The 17-minute walk was probably to Baker Street Station, which is more tube-friendly than Marylebone, but you're likely to get lost in Baker Street station, even changing trains. 205 bus is best: just go out the station and the stop is just to the right of the exit.

BTW Metropolitan and Circle lines do not go from Marylebone station.

  3. Its quicker by tube.

Metropolitan line or the circle line goes direct its only about four stops.

Or go on bakerloo from marylybone to baker st and change to circle from baker st to kings cross.

  4. From the Marlybone station, take the Bakerloo line east to the Baker Street station where you will switch to the Metropolitan line.  Take the Metropolitan line east to King's Cross  / St Pancras.

    -Or-

From the Edgeware Road station (close to Marlybone) take the Hammersmith & City line or the Circle line east to King's Cross / St Pancras
