How can I get from O'Connel St. to St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre?

I'm going to Dublin next week and I'm staying near O'Connel Street. I would like to know how can I get from there to St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre? Can I go walking? Is it too far away? or is there a bus available? Thanks in advance!!

walk to the end of O'Connell street cross the Liffey into Grafton Street and continue to the end - you can get a bus that goes around but you will miss the great shopping on Grafton street where you can stop for a coffee in the wonderful 'Bewley's' coffee house

standing at the top o connel streeet

cross o connell bridge over the liffey

take the road directly in front of you straight on approx 100 mt

at the end of this road you will see trinity college

pass the entrance and continue on until you come to junction

take the pedestrian street at twelve o clock

it is called grafton street and our best shopping street

walk to the opposite end of this street approx 5- 10 mins

and at the end st stephens green shopping centre is on your right hand side and the park itself is on the left

Its really close..ok when your on O Connell street...go towards Oconnell bridge..if you cant see it you should see a building with heineken writen down it...wlk across the bridge and cross the predestrian crossing.Right in front of you is a shop(Lonis/Centa i think) walk straight down this street. Once you directly infront of Trinity College there will be another predestrian crossing across two roads..cross here and keep walking straight. You'll come onto Grafton Street you cant miss it..if you see a Brown Thomas Shop on the right you are correct walk to the end of the  street and you will see a big shopping centre on your right.

If you get lost just ask anyone for grafton street...

Hi Lola, O'Connell Street is fairly close by to St. Stephen's Green, which is of course the location of St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

There probably is a bus available but to be honest, you shouldn't need one, it's very close.

It can be quite dependent on what part of O'Connell Street, but I'm assuming the middle. To find the middle of O'Connell Street, look for the huge big spire and find it. From the spire:

- Head down O'Connell Street Lower towards the bridge over the river Liffery, this is near Bachelor's Walk.

- Follow the bridge across the Liffey and stay on the right side, this will lead onto Westmoreland Street.

- Follow Westmoreland Street straight ahead and keep following until you get to Trinity College. Again, keep following the street you are on, this can be easily done by following outside around Trinity.

- You will then come to an intersection (there will be a statue here of Molly selling cockles and muscles (alive, alive-oh)) between Suffolk Street and Grafton Street. Head onto Grafton Street.

- Grafton Street is an entirely pedestrianised walkway that is full with shops, bars and cafes.

- Follow Grafton Street until there end where you will see the LUAS terminal, St. Stephen's Green and...St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

You can walk in like 10-15 minutes, or take the 39 or 70 bus from O'Connell St. to the shopping center in like 5 minutes

It's literally a ten minute walk....Walk across O'Connell Bridge. Go straight down the street facing you to Trinity College (across from Bank of Ireland). Walk around by Trinity up to the junction of Grafton Street & Nassau Street. Go up Grafton Street & Stephen's Green Shopping Centre is right in front of you at the end of Grafton Street.
