How can I get from Palms Springs Airport to 29 Palms?

I would like to visit my boyfriend (a U.S. Marine) who is currently down in Twentynine Palms. I plan on flying in to the Palm Springs Airport since there is no major airport in 29 Palms. However, I DO NOT DRIVE and since I've heard that Palm Springs is about 45 min to an hour away from 29 Palms, how can I get there? Is there a bus or something that can take me from the Palm Springs Airport all the way to 29 Palms?

My husband, who was stationed in 29 Palms when he as a Marine (in the 1980's) says there is a bus...have your boyfriend check the times that it runs, and find out when one runs closest to your flight arrival.

If that doesn't work, I am sure he could get someone to drive him to the airport to meet you...especially if he pays for the gas.

If he wants to see you, let him do some of the work!!  Have a great visit!  ;-)
