How can I get good reception for my digital reciever box?

I've already gone through three different antennas and I still have no strong signal strength. I currently have the phillips indoor/ outdoor antenna, and when it seems I have a adequate signal, it goes out in ten minutes. I am in an apartment complex which is brick. I'm in the city very close to all the broadcasting stations. Any tips?
