How can I get help for free?

I am really stressed and have just had my first baby.I have had depression problems in the past and things just arent the way I would like them.I really need a counselor or someone to talk to,to help me sort out some things im going through but I dont have any money for it.What are my options?

  1. It would be helpful if I knew where you lived, BUT each state has a department of Mental Health. And usually each county has a mental health provider, that works on a sliding scale. Some areas have a crisis hot line that you can call and they will conduct an assessment and set up an appointment for you for the appropriate level of care. Also have you spoke to your OB-GYN often times women experience depression after they give birth.   2. Praying is always free. But as humans we still need each other so....

    You can google "low income mental health counselors" or something like that. Sometimes they do a sliding scale(lower rates than normal based on your income) or offer free services. Try calling YWCA for resources/numbers, tell them your situation, that would be my best advice for finding quality mental health counselors at a low rate or even free. Good Luck

  4. Pray, while you do that...you will always need a person who understands where you are in your life.

    You can always find someone to talk to, just be careful who you choose.
