How can I get help of people in collecting help to make a charitable institution for children and women?

I am planning to start a charitable organisation to help women and children get their education free of cost and become self sufficient. I especially want to work in rural India. Presently I am in Canada and I am planning to get help from NRIs here.

Just start asking family and friends for donations.  Save the money and keep asking people.  Tell a reporter at the local newspaper what you are doing.  If she writes an article, people will discover your charity. /
