I am 27 years old and have had a rough 08' I am currently looking for a job, moving back in with my parents and doing everything I can do to save money. I have been a commercial real estate agent for 2 years and have not received a paycheck. Two days ago I had an emergency appendectomy and now am stuck with $23,000 in medical bills. I cannot pay this back, nor can my family afford to help with this payment. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I can or should do to reduce this bill? Thank you so much for your help as I am in dire need!

  1. Call them asap and set up payments.  See how low your payments can be or even if they can put off the first payment for a while. Get to feeling better and good luck!!

  2. Talk to someone in billing, in person, at the hospital.  You sound like you qualify for Medicaid.  Any remaining amount can be done in payments as low as 100 a month.

  3. Over in the U.k we don't have medical bills . The only way i can help you is if you win the lottery are find brad pitts wallet.
