During the day my daughter only takes 15-30 minutes for a nap, twice a day. She's almost 3 months old. How can I get her to take longer naps during the day? I can't get a workout in, get any chores done, work on my college work, nada. Help!

  1. when my son wakes up from a nap sooner than 45 min to an hour I immediately start the process for putting him down for a nap over until he is back asleep.  it seems to have helped and he is taking longer naps.  another thing is she may be overtired and when a baby is too tired they have trouble staying asleep..don't know why...but most babies her age can only stay awake an hour or two at a time...so as soon as you notice she is tired try to get her to take a nap.  good luck

  2. She wakes up when she's hungry again so why not give her some baby cereal mixed in her formula so that it slows her digestion and keeps her fuller longer. I had the same challenge with my first child. He was 10 pounds when he was born and was hungry all the time! So at about 2-3 months old I started to put rice cereal in his formula. The first time I did it, he slept ALL NIGHT! You can buy 'nurser' bottles that have larger holes in the nipples so they can drink the cereal.
