  1. You just need to find an insurance broker who is willing and able to help you find it.  It's cheaper getting it on your own anyway unless the employer is picking up a good portion of the cost.

Try my site at http://www.InsurancePickle.com and click on the Pickle....  It requires no personal information and works in most states...it'll quote dozens of different plan/carriers...

Works in most states and feel free to contact me for help.

  2. The best way is to contact a local independent broker in your area. He can find all different types of plans with all types of deductible and co-pay options that will fit your personal financial and medical needs. He will be able to explain what all the differences in each and pros and cons of the different types (PPO, HMO, POS.)

  3. Just go online and google it. You will see a bunch of different types for example Cobra. However, paying for your own is very expensive. usually about $400-$500 a month.

  4. Locate on line a company and pay for it yourself!

  5. What insurance are you talking about?

    Health, life, car, or liability?

I would hesitate hiring a professional nanny without her having liability insurance.  You would have no protection in case of a tragic accident.

Same thing with health insurance.  Whatever your compensation is must cover the purchase of your insurance.
