How can I get internet access?

Question

I want(need) to get a computer, but I dont have a land based phone line, (cellular only), and I have DirecTv not cable. How can I get intenet service without adding a phone line ?

You can get internet via satellite but I don't know how good it is or if your carrier offers it.

The phone companies will install phone lines for internet without your having a phone.  The cable companies will install cable for internet without your having cable TV.

have a look at your local cell phone network providers. many companies now offer a small device which plugs into your laptop/PC USB port and gives you Internet. the device operates over the same wireless networks that cell phones do. You pay a one of fee for the device (dongle) and then a monthly bill each month.
