How can I get into the acting buissness?

I really want to act in TV or Movies but HOW should I?

There is no magic bullet.  Though it is true that Casting Directors and Directors, except for 3, do not hire, Producers hire.  They hire the Casting Directors and Directors.  Yes, Directors and CDs can recommend people for hire, but that's all they can do.

That being said:  Things to consider ..

1. people work with people they know and like, so get out there and meet people, show off your good manners and charm

2. People like to work with people who can get the job done. so get training, be able to deliver when asked

3. People want to work with people who have a good attitude, so if you have issues with anything, go to threapy and deal with it, or leave it at home with the bathroom and show up professional.  Relationships take time, careers do too.  There are many non talented people on television and in films today because they were known not to bring problems to the set and can do a servicable job.  Even more extremely talented people not working because of the negatives they bring to the table when they show up at the event where the Producer, Director or CD meets them- could be an audition, could be at a fund raiser, in LA and NY could be at the dog park,  the market, the bank.  When you leave the house, leave it the way you want to be remembered or stay home.  Hope this helps you in some way. I've produced, directed, cast and acted.  Currently I am only acting, so I have the time to build my fortune too.

You should definitely try to participate in as many theater productions as you can. Whether you act at a community theater or school musicals, it is good to have this experience. Also, go for the open auditions like the new High School Musical 3 movie. I know a high school kid who participated in almost every school musical and "teen idol"competitions. That led him to be one of the finalists for the new HSM 3 movie...at such a young age too!! I know you can do it if you are passionate about what you do and concentrate on your goal! Best of luck!
