Recently I got into the sport of curling. I live in the Chicagoland area and want to give it a try. Any one know any clubs I can play at, or anywhere to get equipment? Any good websites for beginners? Much thanks.

  1. join a beginers class like the SDC (san diego curling), thats wut i did, and now im really good. i compete now. i hope to go to the olympics some day. join a class and theyll tell you the specific things you need and teach u everything.

  2. All you need for equipment is a clean pair of sneakers, and athletic clothing that doesn't shed too bad. Brooms are available at all clubs, Sliders at most (sometimes for a small fee), and it's not allowed to bring your own rocks.

Google tells me the Chicago Curling Club has a "Learn2Curl"  event on the 17th of February at 2:00pm. It's at 555 Dundee Rd., Northbrook, IL, cost is $10 per person

Good luck, curling is a great sport.
