How can I get involved with Skier Cross? (skier X, ski X, skicross, etc.)?

I live in Colorado but I don't know of any teams or courses around except for at Buttermilk for the X-games. Are there races that I can enter or coaches I can talk to anywhere? Should I email the resorts and ask? I truly have no idea how to get my foot in the door! Thanks for your help!

Check the websites under "Events" for the various resorts near you.

I know last year Snowbird hosted a Skiercross event, and it was open for anybody to enter.
