How can I get limewire to work on VISTA ? ?

I have vista ultimate 32 bit edition and no matter what I try, it just wont work. Any ideas please ?

Downloading copyrighted material is illegal- not to mention risky because of the viruses that are commonly contained within the music & videos. No advice should ever be given on how to do something illegal.

Hi, if limewire does't work try frostwire, thats what I use on Vista, its compatible and is the exact same thing instead u don't have to pay for all the extra features limewire pro offers u.

Stay away from lime wire it's just going to mess your computer up.  Start using Bit Torrents.

lime wire has screwed every computer up that i have had use bit torrents there much safer

Right click on the Limewire Icon on you desktop, click "Properties", go to the tab "Compatibility", check the box, "Run this program in Compatitbility mode for:" and make sure it says "Windows XP (Service Pack 2"

Now open Limewire,

works like a charm.

download some VM (virtual machine) software, install Ubuntu onto this and run limewire from within this VM, with a sharing folder linked to your normal computer,

not only will this allow you to run limewire, it will also ensure your PC wont get any viruses as they will infect your virtual machine, not your real one

oh and by the way to gypsyday, just because you use limewire doesnt mean you are downloading illegal content, you can filter out all the copyrighted stuff if you want to, limewire itself is not illegal, but using it to download illegal material IS.
