When I use a curling iron, I get these tight ringlets. Do I just need a bigger curling iron? I currently have a 1" one. Can anyone help me out with this?

  1. the smaller the curling iron, the smaller the curls. If you want bigger curls, use a bigger curling iron!~!~! good luck, and can someone help me?~?~?~?

  2. either try a bigger curling iron or a straightener. you put your hair in the straightener is if your going to straighten it but instead of straightening it with the striaghtener at a perpendicular angle you need to have the straightener at a diagonal angle. and little chunks of hair at a time. hope i helped =]

  3. A 1 inch curling iron is just fine- it might just be a question of your technique. You could get a bigger curling iron, but why not just use what you have? In my sources are a couple of videos on making waves with a curling iron.

Things you need for the look: Curling iron (Which you have), heat protectant spray, and a hair spray.

  4. don't put the top part of the curler over hair and leave top section uncurled then run your fingers through it with the curled hair and wala!
