  1. around 8000lbs of sand for the 'beach' half of the room, line your floor with plastic before adding 300 to 500 gallons of water with 50kg of salt, and a little green and blue food colouring. Install a grass hut to put your bed inside, and put stepping stones where you want to walk. Paint the ceiling blue, and install a large circular white light. If you can find a few mini palm trees, they help a lot I find - paint a tropical Island theme on one wall, and a sea/horizon opposite where you want to sleep. Find a CD of some crashing waves, maybe seagulls, and finally finish with some added realism - plastic bags, broken glass and cigarette ends to stick in the sand.

    If you have a very big dog, you can dress him up to look like a donkey and go for free rides! Cool :P

  2. Light blue walls with beige accents and a seashell theme.

  3. Here is some cool stuff that you could use in you room!!

    Also you could have some sandy colored carpeting and painting the walls blue.  Find some shells or starfish and put them on you dresser, desk, nightstand, any surfaces you want.

  4. Haha, I was like you too!!!

    Anyways, do you live on the East Coast. I'd suggest Yankee Candle. I went there today and they have a ton of Beachy Themed Stuff.

    Is it all possible to paint your room??

    I'd suggest painting your room like a blue. Then it's the color of the ocean. Just doing that alone will step it up a bit.

    Is it all possible to go to the beach?

    I'd suggest getting a shadow box like this;

    and going down to the beach and collect sand and seashells. They'd look great on your walls.

  5. personally its quiet easy. first choose a color for beach it would be light blue and beige. then either get a border with fish or boats or anchors etc then you can get a a nice clock in this theme and a rug etc just use your imagination without getting carried away. whats nice is yu could get these giant stickers made to stick on walls they really make good effect. good luck

  6. Surfboards, Hawaiian Florals & Thatch.  There are some great comforters out there with hawaiian-style florals that look great with white - teal blues, magentas, apple greens, tomato reds.  You can have so much fun with this theme - grass-skirt dancing hula girls, tiki stuff, etc.  (I am assuming you don't want stuffy Cape Cod beach style here!)  here are some cute throw pillows:

    Good luck & have fun with it!

  7. The white walls are fine. But, you can add things like light blue trim and accessories as well as things like jars of shells, sailcloth curtains and tablecloths, and beach-themed wall hangings.

  9. This is my favorite theme ever.  Start off with a bedspread you love.  This is where you will draw your inspiration.  Then paint your walls in matching color.  Add fun accessories.  Here are som ideas:

  10. Blue walls, white accents, bright colors.  Convert big beach towels to window treatments.  You could also use beach towels to create a bedding treatment.  You could also use a surfboard and convert it into a headboard for your bed (horizontal across the wall).  You might also do something cool with a mosquito net.  Greenery is always a good bet in any decor.  Use some palms for a beachy look. Woven grass baskets would be cool.
