How can I get medical care for my children and then send them to college?

Have 5 children. I work at Burger King and so does my wife. We each make $7.40 cents an hour. We work 40 hours a week. My 5 children have a medical problem (Inherited) and the medical bills cost 600,000 dollars. I take home 300 dollars a week. My rent is 1,000 per month and food is 800 per month. (Remember wife works) I have no car. (No bus service in my area) So I walk every where. The children want to go to college. (200,000 dollars per child) The hospital just informed me they will now allow my children to die due to being poor. Can they do this? The schools told me Burger King will soon be paying 9 dollars an hour so I should pay more than 40 cents a month to pay off my hospital bill. (Can they make me pay more than 40 cents a month?) Should I get a Lawyer? Am I living the American dream?

maybe you should spend less time on the internet you level 2-er, and drop your internet bill to help pay for your childrens education! also, they could get into a cheaper college that you could afford. Actually, many of us students pay for our own schooling with out the help of our parents! anyway, why are you worried about college, what about your kids lives!!!

Welcome to the USA the Republicans want everyone to have. Your only chance for your kids is to vote for Obama and hope his universal health care plan comes to pass.

And your kids can go to a state school for a lot less than $200,000 per child. I just put my daughter through a private school in Pennsylvania and it came to a total of $90,000. And she is working as a researcher at grad school and both years will only cost me out of pocket $6500. It would have been zero if the chips had fallen slightly differently.

It is perfectly possible that if the kids work part time to pay their living expenses, that you can pay the total of $20,000 in state college tuition out of Pell grants. FAFSA and student loans.
