Question:

How can I get mobile mail alerts post spamguard?

Here's my dilemma... I get a lot of Spam. A LOT. Like 100 messages a day. Yahoo's spamguard does an okay job of keeping most of the spam out. I'm now trying to set up alerts to notify me when I have new mail, unfortunately the only way to do that is by using filters... which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to specify a folder for messages to go to. My problem is that Yahoo! mail filters override the spamguard, so If I set up a general notification filter, I have to specify a folder for the e-mails to move to.... which means that all spam mail gets moved outo f the spam folder to the inbox thus rendering the spamguard useless and forcing my phone to download 100+ useless messages everyday. Anyone know of a way to set up alerts without using a filter OR to set up a filter that runs on messages that go to the inbox only after spamguard has filtered out the spam? Thank you in advance.

  1. for each alert that you get THE FIRST ONE

ADD THE EMAIL ADDRESS TO THE ADDRESSBOOK

    then it should ok.

l have found that Yahoo go is already doing that with out even setting an alert...it is in the settings...

Why not BYPASS the mail alerts for Mail and use the Mobile option.
