How can I get more people to join my yahoo group?

Some friends of mine and myself are putting together a group and we seen how other groups have a lot of people. How did they get some many?

First make your Group's home page look good.  Choose custom colors, and make a good Description for the Group.

You can try to get more people to join your Group by e-mailing your friends and family (or anyone you know who would be appropriate for the Group) politely asking them to join your Group; don't forget to include the web address (URL) of the home page of your Group.  You can also ask anyone who joins your Group to do the same if they like it.

Most Groups that have a lot of members built up this number slowly over a long time.  So be patient - it usually takes a while to have lots of members in a Group.
